We’re living in a stressful time where the consequences of stress are impossible to avoid. However, there are many techniques that can help – for example, the ancient Japanese Jin Shin Jyutsu technique is aimed at solely on stress and can fight its effects.

One of the main characteristics of the technique is that it’s non-invasive and can be performed on anyone regardless of age. It is especially useful against stress generated by a complicated father-son or mother-daughter relationship.

Origins of the Jin Shin Jyutsu technique

The technique was invented centuries ago and is an innate part of the wisdom of man. It is a simplification of the complexities of existence and an art of living. According to experts, the Jin Shin Jyutsu technique is the art of releasing tension caused by various symptoms. Our bodies contain several energy paths which nourish life in the cells – if one or more of these paths are blocked, the effect can cause discomfort and pain.

The technique is performed with the hands and can strengthen the emotional bond with our children. Before trying to solve a medical condition, however, it’s necessary to know that each of your fingers are related to an organ and emotion. For example, the pinkie represents anxiety, apathy and lack of energy; the ring finger is related to sadness and doubt; the middle finger embodies anger, aggressiveness and fatigue; while the index finger represents fear which may cause muscular discomfort.

How to use the technique

The technique should be used by pressing the fingers corresponding to the problem you’re having. Close your left hand in a grip and wrap it with the right hand, then press the finger which corresponds to the medical problem you’re facing. If it’s stress, you need to press the thumb – whichever finger you’re working on, make sure to keep a steady pressure on it. You need to keep the pressure for 30 seconds, then take a 30-second break before repeating the process again. You can use the technique as many times as you need to as it’s not harmful in any way.
