For generations, different kinds of trick and tips have been told to us in order to better perform our daily tasks and facilitate our lives in different ways.

Despite the passed them, these tips and tricks are still valid, but many people have forgotten about them, or have been simply avoiding them, and they have been fading from the knowledge of the community.

Know the Number of Days in Each Month

Close your fists and put them together. Each knuckle and each cleft between them represents a month.

If the month falls on a knuckle it has 31 days, and if it falls on a cleft it has 30 or less days.

Determine the Time Before Sunset

Put your fingers together and stretch your hand so that the sun is your index finger. Count the number of fingers down all the way to the horizon; each finger represent about 15 minutes for the sunset.

Which Phase Is The Moon In?

Compare the moon with the letters D, C, and O. The D moon is increasing, the O moon is a full moon and the C moon is waning.

Nemotechnique to Learn the Roman Numerals

The following phrase: LaCa De Mama, remember it. The letters L, C, D, and M represent the numbers 50, 100, 150 and 200 respectively.

Check the Charge of a Battery

Raise the battery to a centimeter or two above the table or a flat hard surface and let it fall. If it staggers and falls down, then it has no charge left.

If it bounces then you are good to go.

The Nine Table with Hands

Put your hands in front of you. Assign each finger of the left hand a number from 1 to 5 starting with the little finger.

Assign the number 6 to 10 to each finger of the right hand starting with the thumb. Now, to multiple, for example, 9 times 7, lower the assigned finger with the number 7; the number of fingers that remain to the left of that finger will be tens, and the number of fingers to the right are units.

In this example 9 times 7 is 63.

Know the Degrees of an Angle

Extend your fingers as far as you can and place the palm on a flat surface. The pinky finger should be at the bottom representing 0 degrees.

The thump should represent 90 degrees, the index 60 degrees, the medium 45 degrees and the annulus 30 degrees.

Notes on the Staff

To remember the location of notes, memorize the following sentences. “MY SUN IS ALWAYS REPEAT FAULUS” for notes on the lines. For notes in the spaces between the lines “FAbrica LA Dorada Miel”.

The Order of Planets in the Solar System

It is enough to remember the following sentence and use it as a mnemonic resource:” My Old Aunt Marta Never Knew Nothing to the Bread”; Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.
